The Monday Night Football features a matchup between the Tennessee Titans, with a 4-8 record, and the Miami Dolphins, with a 9-3 mark. The Titans occupy the basement of the AFC South and are in second-to-last place in the standings, ahead of only the New England Patriots in the AFC.
Miami currently sits in an excellent second place in the AFC prior to this game. Last week, the Titans lost 31-28 in overtime to the Indianapolis Colts, and the Dolphins crushed the Commanders in Washington, winning 45-15.
Titans Keep Betting on Mathematics
The Titans have not yet been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, but they are close. Even if the Titans were to win all the remaining games on their schedule, they would still need help in the form of losses by other playoff contenders.
Tennessee has lost four of its last five games, with its only win coming over the league's worst team, the Carolina Panthers.
In their last game, they scored first in overtime against the Colts, but Indianapolis answered their field goal with a winning touchdown. Derrick Henry rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns in the loss.
Will Levis will remain Tennessee's starting quarterback for the remainder of the season. Levis averages 211.0 yards per game with seven touchdowns and only two interceptions.
Most of his touchdowns came in his first start, as his production has declined recently.
In the last five games, Levis has thrown just three touchdown passes. Derrick Henry continues to be the Titans' leading rusher, averaging 70.1 yards per game with eight touchdowns.
DeAndre Hopkins is the team's leading receiver, averaging 64.5 yards per game and five touchdowns.
Hopkins has more than 450 yards more than the team's next highest-ranked receiver, who is tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo, with just 26.1 yards per game. The Titans rank 25th in the NFL in scoring with 17.8 points per game, and their defense ranks 16th in the league in allowing 21.3 points per game.

Miami Remains on Top
The Dolphins are the number one seed in the AFC coming into this game, but there are still no guarantees. The Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens have records of 9-3 and 10-3 respectively, but Miami has the edge in a potential tiebreaker as they have a better record against AFC teams.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars are both one game back with 8-5 records. The Dolphins are improving their chances with their recent winning streak; Miami has won three straight against the Las Vegas Raiders, New York Jets and Commanders.
They won by 30 points against Washington, with Tyreek Hill contributing 157 yards and two touchdowns.
Tua Tagovailoa ranks third in the NFL in total passing yards with 3,457 yards, which equates to 288.1 yards per game.
Tua has a 24-10 ratio in touchdown passes to interceptions. Tua has thrown for more than 240 yards in each game during the three-game winning streak, including a 325-yard game against the Raiders.
Tyreek Hill is in the running for MVP this season, leading the league in receiving yards by a wide margin. Hill has 1,481 yards on the season, followed by CeeDee Lamb with 1,182. Hill averages 123.4 yards per game with 12 touchdowns.
Jaylen Waddle is another threat on the outside, averaging 67.5 yards per game with three touchdowns. Raheem Mostert is the leading rusher, averaging 69.0 yards per game with 14 touchdowns.
Miami leads the NFL in total offense with 428.4 yards per game and ranks second in scoring with 32.0 points. Its defense ranks 21st in the league in allowing 22.2 points per game.
