Broncos Face The Bills

Week 10 of the NFL schedule NFL comes to a close as a pair of AFC teams, eager to get back on track, face off in search of a win.

The Denver Broncos are on the road as they make the trek to face the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. Denver is coming off a bye week last week: they beat the Kansas City Chiefs 24-9 at home in their previous game on October 29, winning as seven-point underdogs.

Buffalo was defeated 24-18 on the road by the Cincinnati Bengals in their last meeting last Sunday night, failing to cover the line as 1.5-point underdogs.

Denver In Search Of Third Straight Victory

Denver had off last week and comes into this game with two straight wins by beating the Chiefs for the first time in forever in their previous game. The Broncos enter this game with a 3-5 overall record on the season and sit in last place in the AFC West standings.

Against Kansas City, Denver never trailed as they scored midway through the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead. The Broncos were up 7-3 after the first quarter, 14-9 at halftime and sealed the win with 10 points in the fourth period.

Denver was outgained in total yards 274-240, although they had the advantage in first downs 19-18 and controlled time of possession. The Broncos forced five Kansas City turnovers, while committing only one in the game.

The Broncos enter this game ranked 27th in the league in aerial offense with an average of 185.4 yards per game through the air and rank 11th in ground offense by recording 116.8 yards per game.

Denver ranks 16th in scoring with an average of 21.5 points per game, while they are 32nd in defense by allowing an average of 28.3 points per game.

Russell Wilson is 154-of-233 passing completions for 1,613 yards with 16 touchdowns and four interceptions. Wilson has been caught 26 times and has totaled 201 yards on the ground.

Javonte Williams leads the team with 90 carries for 357 yards this season. Samaje Perine (27 carries, 103 yards) and Jaleel McLaughlin (38 carries, 268 yards, TD) are also options for the Broncos.

The bye week was beneficial for the Broncos. All players on the active roster fully participated in practice on Thursday and Friday.

The Bills Want to bounce back

Buffalo started the game solidly against Cincinnati, but went cold for an extended period, putting them in a hole they couldn't climb out of in the road loss. The Bills fell to 5-4 on the season and enter this game in second place in the AFC East, one game behind the Miami Dolphins for first place.

Against Cincinnati, Buffalo was behind 14-7 after the first quarter, 21-7 at halftime and 21-10 after three quarters. The Bills pulled within six points with 3:32 to play in the game, but could not get the ball back as the Bengals ran out the clock.

Buffalo lost the battle of total offense 397-317, gave up 23 first downs while getting 21 and lost time of possession. They also committed the only two turnovers in the game.

On the year, the Bills rank fifth in the league in rushing offense with an average of 262.1 yards per game and 16th in rushing with an average of 108.1 yards per game.

Buffalo ranks fifth in the league in scoring with an average of 26.7 points per game and are fifth in the league in defense by allowing 17.8 points per game. Josh Allen is 231-of-324 passing completions for 2,423 yards with 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions on the season.

He is second on the team on the ground with 233 yards and six touchdowns. James Cook leads the ground game with 108 carries for 506 yards and one touchdown. Latavius Murray, with 42 carries, 147 yards, two touchdowns, and Damien Harris, with 23 carries, and 94 yards, have also been involved in the ground game.

Stefon Diggs is the team's leading receiver, having caught 70 passes for 834 yards and seven touchdowns.

Buffalo has an extensive injury report as injuries have piled up throughout the season. Corner Christian Benford and safety Micah Hyde did not participate in practice Thursday and Friday.
