Bills Look to Run Up Bills Against Patriots
Buffalo had a tougher than expected game against the New York Giants at home on Sunday night, perhaps the trip back from London, coupled with injury problems and underestimating their opponent, led to a game that was decided on the last play.
The Bills improved their record to 4-2 on the season and are in second place in the AFC East, one game behind the Miami Dolphins, although they own the tiebreaker thanks to their Week 4 win over the Dolphins.
Against the Giants, the Bills didn't score until the fourth quarter when two Josh Allen touchdown passes, the last a 15-yard pass to Quinton Morris with 3:48 to play, gave them the lead to hang on for the win.
Buffalo's defense came up with the final stop, stopping the Giants at the one-yard line with one down and no time left to secure the victory.
The Bills were outgained in total yards of offense 317-297, lost in time of possession and committed two turnovers without gaining a strip.
The Bills managed 22 first downs while allowing 20 and held the Giants to zero for five in the red zone, which helped them win the game.
On the season, the Bills rank eighth in the league in aerial offense with an average of 256.7 yards per game and 12th in ground offense with an average of 118.2 yards per game.
Buffalo is third in the league in points scored with an average of 28.8 points per game and they are third in the league in points allowed defense with an average of 14.8 points per game.
